Andy Cowell is reportedly set to leave the Aston Martin team soon after his demotion.
Cowell served as CEO and team principal of the Silverstone-based team until he was replaced by Adrian Newey. That decision was announced ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, while a new CEO is yet to be named.
Cowell later continued at Aston Martin as the team's Chief Strategy Officer, and in January appeared at Honda’s power unit launch event as well.
The engine guru previously worked for Mercedes HPP from 2008 to 2020 and was responsible for the German brand's dominant power unit in the 2010s.

PlanetF1 now reports that Cowell is set to leave the team in June 2026, citing 'lack of compatibility with how his role in the team evolved' as the reason.
