Lewis Hamilton's former manager, Marc Hynes, will work as Cadillac's Chief Racing Officer.
As GPblog previously reported, Hynes is working in a full-time role for the 11th team on the Formula 1 grid, Cadillac. Now, his position is also known.
Hynes will work on ensuring peak performance across the team's racing operations, and will also manage the team's drivers' programme, which currently includes full-time drivers Valterri Bottas and Sergio Perez, reserve driver Guanyu Zhou, and test driver Colton Herta.

Hynes said: "Building a new team in Formula 1 is a rare challenge, and I’m excited to help shape the culture, processes, and performance standards from the very beginning. We have a strong and diverse driver line-up, and my focus will be on creating the clarity, alignment, and discipline needed to allow everyone - drivers and engineers alike - to perform at their very best."
The Briton has previously worked with Cadillac's team principal Graeme Lowdon. He said: "Marc brings an exceptional combination of racing experience, strategic understanding, and people management to the team. His ability to connect drivers, engineers, and leadership will be critical as we establish ourselves on the grid. As we enter our debut season, having someone of Marc’s calibre guiding our racing operations is a major asset for the Cadillac Formula 1 Team."

Did Hynes and Hamilton recently part ways?

Hynes was previously the seven-time world champion's manager in the past, however, that was not the case now for a number of years. He did support the Briton in 2024 with the transition to Ferrari and worked also as a consultant on the racing side of his business, but was not the manager.
