George Russell shocked by unexpected Fernando Alonso age comparison

In a new video posted by the Mercedes team, drivers Russell and Kimi Antonelli answered questions from two children.

The British driver also had a question of his own and received an unexpected answer.

The Briton asked the young girl about his age. He said: "How old do you think I am?"

She answered "46", which made both Russell and Antonelli burst out laughing.

The Grand Prix winner jokingly added: "Oh my! We need to have words."

Antonelli was ready to join in as well. The young Italian added with a huge smile: "I mean, you are in good shape for being 46 years old."

The Briton will soon celebrate his birthday, as he turns 28 years old on 15 February, in just five days.

It remains possible that a 46-year-old could still be competing in Formula 1, but only in 2027. That depends on Alonso, given that he will continue to compete in the series next year as well.
