Max Verstappen is in the form of his life after winning his first Formula 1 world title. The Dutchman won five consecutive Grands Prix, equalling Lewis Hamilton's record. In Singapore, the Dutchman can pass the seven-time world champion.

Verstappen past Hamilton on impressive list?

Verstappen has the potential to become the greatest of all time in Formula 1 in terms of statistics and records. His next victim in the record list of longest winning streaks includes Hamilton. The 2021 title rivals both never achieved a victory streak longer than five wins in a row. With a win in Singapore, Verstappen passes Hamilton, among others.
Hamilton is the driver with the most wins ever, but is not ahead of Sebastian Vettel, Alberto Ascari, Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg in terms of victory streaks. Along with five more drivers, he is in a shared fourth place in the record list. Hamilton did achieve a five-race win streak twice already. The first was in 2014; the Briton won all races from Italy to the US GP. The second time was in 2020 and started at the Eifel GP and lasted until the Bahrain GP.

Verstappen to shared third spot

If Verstappen extends his win streak he started in France this year in Singapore, he will move up to a shared third spot with Michael Schumacher. Schumacher achieved a six-race win streak from the end of 2000 to Malaysia 2001. The German is also in a shared second spot with his personal record of seven wins in a row in 2004. With Verstappen's Red Bull Racing car in 2022, equalling this series does not seem impossible. The longest winning streak is still a long way off for the Dutchman, though; Sebastian Vettel leads the list with a run of nine wins that began in Belgium in 2013 and lasted until the Brazilian Grand Prix the same year.
