Lando Norris will aim to strengthen his lead at the top of the drivers’ standings with the Brazilian Grand Prix next on the calendar. Here is the schedule for the race weekend in Interlagos.

Brazil GP Race Schedule

Last time out at the Mexico City Grand Prix, Norris moved ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri in the drivers’ title fight, with a dominant outing at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. The McLaren driver led every lap after qualifying on pole for the Mexico race.
In Brazil, however, a few tweaks could well be on the cards, especially considering the weekend features the fifth Sprint of the 2025 calendar.

During the previous Sprint weekend at the Circuit of the Americas, it turned out to be a challenging outing for the McLaren team, with both drivers making contact on the opening lap of the Sprint.

Brazil GP Past Winners

Last time out at the Brazil Grand Prix, Max Verstappen stormed to victory from 17th place in what was a wet-weather masterclass at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace. The Red Bull Racing driver will have to clinch another victory to keep his championship hopes alive. The four-time world champion currently sits in third place, behind Norris by 36 points.
In 2023, however, Verstappen’s victory was less challenging than the race he had to manage last year. Other drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, have also tasted race victory at the Brazil GP in recent years. Below is a list of the past five race winners at Interlagos.

Verstappen had an outing to forget during qualifying for the Brazil Grand Prix. The Red Bull Racing driver failed to advance past the first round of qualifying at the Sao Paulo circuit.

Hamilton reflects on frustrating Brazil GP qualifying

Hamilton, like Verstappen, was another driver who endured a challenging outing at the Interlagos race. The Scuderia Ferrari driver, in his assessment of his session, painted a bleak picture ahead of the race weekend.

Red Bull react to Brazil qualifying

Red Bull Racing advisor Helmut Marko revealed that the team will hold a meeting to analyse their performance dip following the qualifying session. The 82-year-old noted that the Milton Keynes-based team seems to have fallen further behind their rivals on the grid.
The 48-year-old added that the team was surprised by the outcome recorded by both Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda during qualifying.
