Scuderia Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton offered a bleak assessment of his outing in the aftermath of the Brazil Grand Prix qualifying.
“It just continues to go bad every weekend.”

The British driver, who suffered a second-round qualifying exit at the Sao Paulo circuit, was asked about his resilience and the possibility of turning his fortunes around during the race. Hamilton responded with measured frustration:
“I've been trying it all year, but it just continues to go bad every weekend, so I'll try again,” the Ferrari driver said.
When probed further about his feelings after a double Q2 elimination during the race weekend, the seven-time world champion offered a brief response:
“Not great.”

During the qualifying session, Hamilton had been vocal on the team radio about the car setup and rear tyre temperature. Asked about it, the British driver admitted:
“I can't remember if the issue is the same as earlier [during the Sprint qualifying].”
When asked about the possibility of a safety car salvaging his weekend, Hamilton was quick to discard such an option, stating:
“I'm not expecting it. It's not going to happen,” he concluded.
At the Brazil GP qualifying, Hamilton could only muster a time quick enough for 13th place. His outing also marked consecutive years at the Sao Paulo race where he failed to progress in the final stages of qualifying.

Verstappen joins Hamilton in qualifying elimination

The seven-time world champion wasn’t the only front-running driver to endure a challenging outing at Interlagos. Red Bull Racing star Max Verstappen was also caught up in the elimination chaos.
The four-time Drivers’ Champion, alongside his teammate Yuki Tsunoda, failed to advance past the first stage of qualifying, clocking times quick enough for 16th and 19th place, respectively.
