The resumption of qualifying for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix remains uncertain, with standing water continuing to cause serious safety concerns at Interlagos despite efforts to clear the circuit.
Following the red flag in Q1, marshals were deployed to several corners to remove standing water, while race control continued to monitor the weather.
The safety car was subsequently sent onto the circuit for a two-lap inspection to assess whether conditions were suitable for drivers to return to the track.

Following the initial inspection, safety car driver Bernd Maylander identified Turns 2 and 3, along with the section between Turns 4 and 5, as particularly problematic areas where standing water could cause aquaplaning.

Marshals carried out further work in the affected sections before the safety car returned to the circuit for another assessment. However, the latest inspection produced an even more concerning verdict, with Maylander reporting that conditions deteriorated compared to his previous outing.
Despite the efforts to remove standing water, the latest feedback offered little encouragement for an imminent restart, with race control still facing significant concerns over the safety of the circuit.
