Sebastian Vettel will take part in the 2026 London Marathon to raise funds for charity. The four-time world champion, who called time on his racing career four years ago, will swap his racing suit and gloves for running shoes on April 26, taking part in one of the world’s most renowned annual fundraising marathon events,
F1 reports.
The former German driver will not be the only figure from the
Formula 1 world involved, with journalist, podcast host and FIA press conference moderator Tom Clarkson also set to run alongside him.
The pair will be running in support of two charitable causes. One is the Grand Prix Trust, which provides assistance to Formula 1 personnel both at the track and within teams during times of need.
The other is the Brain & Spine Foundation, an organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by neurological conditions through support services, research and advocacy.
Vettel will therefore have another opportunity to continue championing his humanitarian efforts, having already been heavily involved in projects focused on environmental sustainability and biodiversity in recent years.

The four-time world champion is the only driver alongside the Dutchman to have delivered world titles for the Milton Keynes outfit, with both claiming four each.
The former Austrian advisor drew a clear contrast between Vettel’s methodical, engineering-driven approach and Verstappen’s early reliance on raw instinct, noting how the Dutchman has since evolved into a far more complete driver capable of guiding a team and articulating exactly what he needs from the car.
He went on to describe Verstappen as an exceptional talent, highlighting his speed, focus and overall ability, while also stressing the strong personal bond they share.
Marko also emphasised that the the Dutchman's character and values set him apart, making that combination of qualities particularly rare in Formula 1.
