Max Verstappen and Chris Lulham are not waiting until race day this Saturday to get to work at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The pair took to the Nürburgring Nordschleife on Friday for a test session ahead of their GT3 debut on Saturday in the Langstrecke Endurance Series.
The test was important for both drivers as it gave them their first laps in the Ferrari GT3 car on a wet Nordschleife.
Weather in the Eifel is known for being unpredictable, and with qualifying set for Saturday morning, there is always a chance of rain.
On Saturday, Verstappen and Lulham will compete in a four-hour endurance race. It will be the first time Verstappen races in a GT3 car, a step up from his recent outing in a Cayman GT4 at the same circuit.
Both qualifying and the race can be followed live via GPblog.

Verstappen's journey into first professional outing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife

The Nürburgring Nordschleife, a circuit famous for its danger and history, is the next challenge for Max Verstappen. To compete there, even a four-time Formula 1 World Champion must follow the same process as any other driver.
Verstappen first had to pass a theory exam before completing training laps around the circuit. From there, he was required to take part in a qualifying session and log two stints of seven laps each in race conditions to earn his A Permit for the Nordschleife.
The Dutchman did more than just tick the boxes. In qualifying, he posted a lap time in the wet that put him roughly 25 seconds clear of the nearest competitor in his class. During the race, Verstappen maintained that form, recording the fastest lap of the category with a margin of around 20 seconds.
It was a performance that underlined not only his adaptability but also his determination to master one of motorsport’s most demanding circuits.
