Verstappen and Kelly Piquet celebrate Penelope's birthday on holiday

Penelope had her birthday on Sunday, July 27. At the time, Verstappen was still occupied with the penultimate race before the summer break, in Belgium. The following weekend, the Red Bull Racing driver had his last race weekend before he could go on vacation. Several images have since surfaced showing what the Dutchman does during the period when he's not racing.

A video was also released marking Penelope's birthday. The footage shows people singing for Kelly's daughter, who has just turned six. While ‘P’ blows out candles on her cake, it can be seen how Verstappen and Piquet helped Penelope.

After fourteen races, Verstappen is therefore enjoying his holiday. The Dutchman, however, doesn't get much peace. Nelson Piquet Jr, Kelly's brother, played a prank on the four-time world champion. The Brazilian filmed how he tricked his brother-in-law with a water pistol.

Verstappen and Kelly Piquet welcomed their first daughter together this spring. Lily was born ahead of the Grand Prix in Miami. Recently Verstappen spoke about the impact the baby can have on him after a bad race weekend. The Red Bull Racing driver claimed all his concerns about a bad result disappeared the moment he saw his daughter's smile.

This is what Verstappen said after the Grand Prix in Hungary, where he finished ninth. After the race at the Hungaroring, the Dutchman is 97 points behind Oscar Piastri, who leads the championship. Lando Norris is also far ahead of the Red Bull Racing driver, who currently stands third in the championship.
