The British Grand Prix is on the agenda this weekend, and for Ferrari, it marks the return of team principal Frederic Vasseur to the pit wall. The Frenchman has high expectations for Lewis Hamilton's home race, who made headlines last year by winning the event. “After Austria, we move on to Silverstone, a very different type of circuit and one of the real classics. The upgrades we introduced on the SF-25 in Spielberg certainly played some part in our good result last Sunday, and we want to capitalise on that positive momentum going into this next race. We’ve seen how important it is to focus on every aspect of our operation in order to deliver a strong performance and so, as usual, we will concentrate on ourselves, aiming to put together another clean weekend."
Hamilton is facing a special moment in his career. The seven-time world champion will, for the first time, drive his home race for Ferrari. Additionally, the 40-year-old remains the most successful driver on this circuit with nine victories to his name. “This is Lewis’ home race, and he’ll be particularly keen to do well, buoyed by the amazing support he can always count on here. Personally, I’m looking forward to being back at the race track with the team to enjoy the special atmosphere that’s unique to Silverstone," concluded Vasseur.

Vasseur missed the Austrian GP
Last weekend, Ferrari brought upgrades to the Red Bull Ring and secured third and fourth places. It was one of the better races of the year for the Maranello team, but Vasseur was not present at the circuit to witness it. Due to personal reasons, the Frenchman was replaced by Jerome d’Ambrosio during the Austrian race.
This weekend, Vasseur will therefore return to the paddock and will witness firsthand what Hamilton unleashes on the iconic circuit. However, after the Austrian GP, the British driver himself was not entirely
convinced of his team's current direction.
“We should be fully focused on, in terms of development, onto next year's car, soon,” he told GPBlog among others after the race.
