Despite Max Verstappen finishing second in Miami, the gap to the competition is still wide. Lando Norris' victory ensures that the Briton takes steps forward in the standings. Charles Leclerc remains in third place in the standings with his second place and Perez remains in second place narrowly after a weaker Grand Prix.
After a somewhat disappointing Grand Prix for Max Verstappen, the Dutchman does retain the lead in the drivers' championship. The three-time world champion failed to win the race due to an unfortunate safety car and perhaps some damage to his Red Bull.
Lando Norris secured his first-ever Grand Prix victory in Miami. These 25 points see the Briton shoot forward in the standings. Charles Leclerc finished third in the American city and this moves him up to second place.
The weekend in Miami was also a good one for Visa Cash App RB. Daniel Ricciardo already managed 6 points on Saturday during the sprint race and Yuki Tsunoda dragged in another 6 points for the team on Sunday. Esteban Ocon also scored his first points this weekend.
