Carlos Sainz expects a reversal of fortunes on track in Las Vegas compared to the Interlagos weekend. "Probably the cars that were strong here will be weak in Vegas and vice versa"
- Carlos SainzAfter finishing outside the points in the Brazilian GP, the Spaniard is hoping for a better result this weekend in Nevada: "Luckily, we're Vegas next, which is completely the opposite to this. Probably the cars that were strong here will be weak in Vegas and vice versa.
As a team, we need to get on top of those issues which compromise and we'll compromise Qatar, compromise here, so keen to keep working as a team on that."
He finally added: "For me, as a team, it's just important to understand how we can keep improving the weakness of the long, medium, low speed, long corner that always compromises us."
Flood watch issued as Las Vegas threatened by major rainfall
Las Vegas faces a challenging week
as a flood watch has been issued, with heavy rain expected across the valley. While the city rarely sees November rainfall at this level, authorities are keeping a close eye on the situation.
The alert is expected to last until at least Wednesday, after which conditions should improve, ensuring the weekend’s events can go ahead safely.
The race itself also brings a unique challenge: running in the evening makes Las Vegas one of the coldest events of the season. Lower track temperatures could shake up the order once again, something Sainz himself has highlighted as a potential factor heading into the weekend.
