Lando Norris claimed victory at Zandvoort thanks to a brilliant overtake on Kimi Antonelli in the closing stages, while the Dutch fans were left heartbroken after Max Verstappen retired on the opening lap. Here is the full report from the final Dutch Grand Prix. Norris made a strong start from pole position to retain the lead into Turn 1, while George Russell endured a less convincing getaway and lost a position to his teammate. Behind them, Max Verstappen immediately found himself in the thick of the action, narrowly avoiding contact with Lewis Hamilton after putting two wheels onto the gravel before going wheel-to-wheel with Liam Lawson through Turn 3.
The Dutchman's race then
came to a dramatic end later on the opening lap. Verstappen lost control on the exit of the final corner and crashed heavily into the barriers along the main straight, scattering debris across the circuit and forcing the race to be red-flagged.
Gabriel Bortoleto also spun at the same part of the track, although the Brazilian produced an impressive save to avoid the barriers and managed to straighten the car before rejoining. The incident almost resulted in a collision with his teammate Nico Hulkenberg, who reacted quickly to avoid Bortoleto.
With debris left scattered across the track following Verstappen's crash, the race was suspended to allow the circuit to be cleared before the action could resume.

Zandvoort action resumes after Verstappen's heavy crash
At the restart, Oliver Bearman came to a halt during the formation lap due to a technical issue, forcing him to retire from the race and resulting in an additional formation lap.
Once the race finally resumed with a standing start, Antonelli immediately attacked Norris with a brilliant move to take the position, while Piastri, running on the hard tyres, overtook both Leclerc and Russell.
After the first round of pit stops, Oscar Piastri lost a position to Russell following a slow stop, putting the Mercedes driver in a net podium position after spending several laps under pressure from Charles Leclerc.
On lap 34, Leclerc forced his way past Piastri with a brilliant move to take fourth place and set his sights on the podium. Hamilton repeated the same move shortly afterwards to move into fifth, with the Briton also benefiting from much fresher tyres.
On lap 54, with all the pit stops completed, Norris made his move on Antonelli, passing the Italian around the outside of Turn 1 while also taking advantage of Hamilton, who was running ahead of them and had yet to stop. The Briton pitted two laps later, taking advantage of the VSC triggered by Esteban Ocon's retirement to put himself back in contention for a podium finish.
Norris ultimately went on to take a comfortable victory and secure his second consecutive win, while Russell was instructed to let Antonelli through in the closing stages after the Italian switched to the soft tyres. Hamilton also took advantage of the situation to move ahead of Antonelli, while Russell retained third place. Hamilton finished fourth ahead of Leclerc in fifth, with Antonelli dropping back behind them. It was also a strong day for Fernando Alonso, who brought Aston Martin home in the points with a ninth-place finish.
