Lance Stroll was able to make it out on track just before the end of the test session in Barcelona after an unprecedented delay.
The expectation is that
Fernando Alonso will also be able to complete his first laps with the new car on Friday. He may share testing duties with Stroll, who could do very little with his limited time on Thursday.
In the meantime, Aston Martin has shared the first images of the car, which for now appears in black - likely to be a testing-only livery. The new paintwork will be unveiled in February, in time for the next test in Bahrain.
Aston Martin has also decides to publish the photos in black and white as well, possibly to keep as many details of the car under wraps as possible.
