Verstappen is done with questions about turmoil at Red Bull

Max Verstappen keeps on winning in 2024, despite the turmoil behind the scenes. Verstappen was asked at the press conference in Miami how he still continues to perform so well.

"I'm here to just race and try to win," Verstappen said when asked how he managed to perform so well under the conditions. "It's important to feel good and have a stable environment. We're working on that and I'm sure that we can get that."

In Miami, there was another chapter in this year's Red Bull Racing soap opera, as Adrian Newey has announced his departure from the team. Verstappen already let it be known that he would have preferred the top designer to stay, but Newey himself is looking for a new challenge. Yet Newey also let slip that he is leaving Red Bull mainly because of all the events of this season.
