During the Grand Prix weekend in Spain, the 
Formula 1 grid was closer together than expected. Yet for a while it looked like 
Max Verstappen would run away with pole position again, but it was 
Lando Norris who was narrowly quicker in the end. 
Lewis Hamilton and 
George Russell closed in on the second row.
Mercedes will start the GP of Spain from the second row. Behind them are 
Charles Leclerc and 
Carlos Sainz, followed by 
Pierre Gasly and 
Sergio Perez. 
Esteban Ocon and 
Oscar Piastri complete the top ten. Local hero Fernando Alonso came just a few hundredths short of making the top ten, starting from 11th.
