Pressure is off Albon's shoulders for a moment: ''This is very important for him''

For a moment, the pressure is off Alexander Albon's shoulders. After Pierre Gasly's victory, the Thai was only under more pressure at Red Bull Racing, but his podium gave him some breathing space.
The time had finally come: the stage for Albon. The Thai had to wait a long time for it and came close a couple of times, but now it was finally there. The Red Bull Racing driver has come under increasing pressure and the podium is very important for the confidence of Max Verstappen's team mate.

Extra confidence for Albon?

''This is very important for him'', says Enzo Fittipaldi after the race in the Post-Race Show. ''He has been under pressure since the start of the season and has of course missed some opportunities due to things through no fault of his own. Since Gasly's victory, the pressure has only increased and so it is important that he has now achieved that performance. I'm very happy for him,'' says the Brazilian.
Whether it is enough for Albon is, of course, still to be seen. The rumours about other drivers besides Verstappen are increasing every week, but with the gained self-confidence in Tuscany, Albon may be able to take the next step. However, this is not the first time that Red Bull has relegated a driver to the podium, as Daniil Kvyat was relegated to the podium in 2016 after driving one race before that.
