Lando Norris secured his third win of the season in Austria. The British driver stood firm against Oscar Piastri, who made several attempts to overtake his teammate in the opening stages of the race. For this, Norris received the maximum score in the Formula 1 Power Rankings. The five-member jury that oversees the Power Rankings gave Norris a 10 for his performance in Austria. The judges, tasked with evaluating the drivers, saw no room for improvement for the Brit, resulting in him finishing with the maximum score.
Norris, Bortoleto, and Lawson also rewarded
Gabriel Bortoleto also had an excellent weekend. He scored his first four points and was ahead of his seasoned teammate,
Nico Hulkenberg, throughout the weekend. For this reason, the Brazilian is found in second place in the Power Rankings. He received a 9.4 for his eighth-place finish during the race.
Liam Lawson rounds out the top three. The Racing Bulls driver, who had to leave Red Bull Racing earlier in the season, took revenge with a sixth place in both the qualifying and the race. Due to a one-stop strategy, he returned to the position he had qualified for. The jury rewarded the New Zealander for this reason with a 9.0.
In the Power Rankings standings, nothing changes for Oscar Piastri. He remains at the top of the leaderboard, with an average score of 8.6.
Max Verstappen stays in second position. The Dutchman had to retire his race in the first round after a collision with Andrea Kimi Antonelli, but he retains his position in the rankings. On average, he scored an 8.2 this season.
Norris moves up two positions due to his performance at the Red Bull Ring. The Brit surpasses Charles Leclerc and George Russell, storming into the top three. On average, the McLaren driver scored an 8.0 in 2025.
