Fernando Alonso is yet to decide on his future, Aston Martin's Mike Krack said ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix.
The two-time world champion previously said that he would make his decision about his future during the summer break. According to his team's Chief Trackside Officer, no final decision has been made yet.
"Yeah, I mean the discussion has been going on for many, many months already. I think Fernando was always saying that he will take a decision around the summer time. And I think we will see a decision in the coming weeks," he told GPblog, among others.
The Luxemburger added: "I think we're waiting for his decision, as I said, and then we will see."

Asked about rumors linking other drivers to the team, Krack was clear. He explained: "No, I think we always said that the focus is to continue with Fernando. And as I said, we are quite confident that we will reach a good outcome. On the other hand, we have to respect Fernando's request to make his own decision, and we have to wait for that."
In previous interviews, Alonso made it clear that he wanted to remain with Aston Martin, but he was yet to decide on his role. The Spaniard also believes that the team will become world champions; the only question is when.
