Max Verstappen says he remains fully committed to fighting for the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship against McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, insisting Red Bull’s revival this season has been “remarkable” and that the team is enjoying the challenge.
The pressure is not on us. We are enjoying what we’re doing and we will give everything we have until the end.

Talking about the title fight, Verstappen was clear that chasing it should always be the goal.
“But why not? It’s a good task,” he said in an interview on the Inside Track podcast. “I mean, we have fun. The pressure is not on us. We are enjoying what we’re doing and we will give everything we have until the end. If it’s enough, that will be a brilliant story. If not, we will still be proud.
"I mean, the upswing of performance is quite remarkable and we’ll be very happy with what we have delivered.”

When asked if he believes he will win the title, Verstappen dismissed the idea of fixating on the outcome.
“It’s not about if I will win it or not,” he said. “I know that when I jump in the car, I will give it everything I have. And that’s the only thing that I can do.”
Pressed on what could derail his bid, Verstappen pointed to the unpredictable nature of racing.

“Yeah, bad luck. I mean, you can have a crash, you can get hit, you can have a puncture, you can have an untimely safety car, you can get sick, you can slip in the shower, you break your leg. Yeah well I mean anything can happen, right? So I don’t know.
"I just don’t try, like I don’t want to think about it too much. I just come here and I hope that we can have a strong weekend here again, which of course will help for the championship,” Verstappen concluded.

Verstappen appreciates McLaren's title fight approach

In the same interview, Verstappen said McLaren's driver equality philosophy was something to be appreciated, saying the Woking-based team were the "boss," free to decide how they went racing.
