Norris on rivalry with Ricciardo: "It's going to be a close fight".

For Lando Norris it is already going to be his third Formula 1 season. The 21 year old Briton had a strong season with McLaren last year. Of the 202 points the team scored, Norris was responsible for 97 points. This season he wants to continue this strong line.

This year he will do so with a different team mate. Carlos Sainz left for Ferrari, giving McLaren the opportunity to add Daniel Ricciardo to their stable. The smiley Australian has been around in F1 for quite some time now, so this season we will really see what Norris is made of.

Speaking for himself, he says to Sky Sports F1: "I think it's going to be a fierce battle between Daniel and me. I can't wait to experience the rivalry between the two of us, which is undoubtedly going to be good. In addition, Daniel is also a driver I can learn a lot from."

Norris doesn't want to use the big difference in experience with the Australian as an excuse though. "I'm certainly not going to use the experience difference as an excuse, should he beat me. We'll both be learning from each other every day, and that's what I'm looking forward to."
