Lando Norris won the F1 sprint race in Miami ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton, something the Briton attributes to luck.
It was not an easy race, as the many incidents showed. Norris, due to luck, skill, and strategy managed to get the jump on teammate Piastri at the pitstops, due to a timely safety car, which the Briton himself acknowledges.

Norris gets lucky in Miami

"My luck in Miami seems pretty good at the minute so I'm happy," said Norris on the grid after the race.
"But you know the pace was still very good, it's always just difficult these races, you never know when to box. You box early, [it] paid off for Lewis [Hamilton, P3,ed.] He had a good strategy. Or do you stay out later and maybe get the safety car? So it's worked two years in a row."
"I probably would prefer if this happened tomorrow rather rather than today, but I'll take it. I'm happy. A good job by the team. So yeah, it was good fun."

Norris eyes pole and a win for the rest of the race weekend in Miami

As far as his confidence for qualifying and the race goes, they're as high as can be, as Norris reveals his plan for the rest of the weekend.
"It's the plan [getting pole for the Grand Prix and winning]. But it's tricky. There's a lot of quick guys out there and I felt good yesterday to be honest, a couple of little mistakes but I'm ready to go again so I'm excited."
