Verstappen family welcomes a new family member: meet little Joe

At the end of August, Victoria shared the news that the family would soon be growing with a puppy. At the time, she kept a few details to herself. For instance, she didn’t reveal the puppy’s name—if it was even known then—and it also wasn’t officially clear what breed it was, although the little one strongly resembled a dachshund. The new footage makes that clear, and the puppy’s name is also revealed.

In the footage, shared by Victoria on her Instagram, you can see Victoria sitting in the car with the pup alongside her mother, Sophie Kumpen. It also becomes clear that it’s a dachshund and that the new family member has been named Joe. “We brought our puppy home,” Victoria writes with the post. “This is Joe, the newest member of our family. We’re all already completely in love with him. Welcome home, little Joe!”

Once at home, Joe clearly doesn’t need long to get used to his new surroundings. Victoria shares various clips of the dachshund happily running around the house. Her children also meet the pup right away, and the footage shows them playing with the little dog.

Victoria has three children with her husband, Tom Heuts: Luka, Lio, and Hailey. With Joe, the family now has a new member. In her initial announcement, Victoria had already said she was looking forward to his arrival. “What I wanted to share with you is that we’re getting a puppy soon. So excited and maybe a little nervous, but we really can’t wait,” she wrote at the time.
