Norris and Hulkenberg at the stewards: will a penalty follow?

For Nico Hulkenberg and Lando Norris, there is no time to rest until qualifying. They have to report to the stewards because of a strange incident during free practice. At 12:45pm local time (3:45pm in the UK), the two drivers of Haas F1 and McLaren were at the stewards' office.

There - along with their team representative - they should explain how they managed to hit each other midway through the practice session. Norris then overtook Hulkenberg but hit the German's left front tyre in the process. Should a penalty follow, it will apply to qualifying and Grand Prix. A penalty for the sprint race will only be imposed for an offence in the Sprint Shootout. Both of which take place on Saturday.
