The two McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have come together on the final lap of the Singaporean GP Sprint, with the former looking for a move down the inside of Turn 5, but taking his teammate out of the race.
The papaya duo were racing behind the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc, when Norris made the move at Turn 5. The resulting contact has seen Piastri DNF at the Sprint, while Norris took the final points position in P8.
The incident involving the two McLaren drivers is set to be investigated after the Sprint, as well as several other moments during the action, which saw a total of nine retirements.
Norris and Piastri have each been summoned to the stewards, with the McLaren pair set to appear at 19:45 local time (12:45 UK / 13:45 CEST).
Speaking to Sky F1 following the incident, Piastri said: "I've not seen it properly. From where I sit I'm not...it's for fourth and fifth for a Sprint race so I'm not that bothered either way. Just obviously it's a lot of work now for the team to get both cars fixed. Just a shame for the team."
