Max Verstappen isn't a fan of "boring" F1 free practice 1 sessions

Max Verstappen is one of those drivers who just loves racing. But the F1 weekend as a whole isn't just about the race and Sunday as work must be carried out to perfect the set-up. The Dutchman suggests he's no longer a fan of the first practice session at the start of a Formula 1 weekend because it's "boring".
The first chance the driver has to get out on track during the weekend is in practice one. Verstappen says he doesn't look forward to it anymore, unlike his first few seasons in F1.
“Over the years it has become a bit more boring. It has become a normal procedure. You just have to work on the setup and make sure you have everything ready because in general the second free training is the most important," the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing driver said in a conversation with Grand Prix Radio.
Verstappen looks back on the races of the past season, including the Grand Prix of Baku. Interviewer Olav Mol is not a big fan of it, but the Red Bull driver sees the charm of the street circuit.
“The sport just needs to grow a little there. The circuit has always been a spectacle, and that is where I helped," Verstappen jokes about his crash with then-teammate Daniel Ricciardo.
