Formula 1 drivers don't get a lot of time off. Their schedule is brutal and even when the season is over, they are working hard at staying fit and testing things for the next season. However, they do get some time to relax and Max Verstappen has revealed how he will spend his time.
"I'm happy when this is all over," said the Red Bull Racing driver to Jack Plooij for Grand Prix Radio. "I have two to three weeks off until the beginning of January."
Many Formula 1 drivers are adrenaline junkies and can be found on the ski slopes and on jet skis in the sea. However, Verstappen doesn't want to risk anything and will instead make the most of some time to relax and unwind from a hectic season.
“I don't go skiing anyway, I don't want to take that risk. I haven't been doing that for a few years. I stay at home, just doing nothing. You are on the road so much that I sometimes do not want to live out of my suitcase."
Verstappen will relax over the next few weeks and come back in the new year refreshed and ready to take on the Ferrari's and Mercedes for the 2020 championship.
