Red Bull Racing and Mercedes are not only battling it out on track, they are also fighting it out off the track. Where Toto Wolff earlier announced that it wants to protest against Red Bull's flexible rear wing, Helmut Marko also announced protests.
According to Mercedes the rear wing of the RB16B moves more than allowed by the regulations, which would benefit the team in the races. Marko sees it differently, as he tells in conversation with Formel1.de. "Our car - like many other cars - has been accepted by the FIA and classified as compliant," he states.
"In my opinion, it's still the FIA that determines the procedure," the Red Bull advisor continued, who then gave Mercedes homework to do. "But I think he (Wolff, ed.) should also look at his front wings. Because on ServusTV and also on Sky there was a shot where you saw how drastically that front wing approaches the ground."

Battle in the championship

Both teams are barely missing out on each other in the world championship this season. Where Max Verstappen is on 105 points for now, Lewis Hamilton follows with 101 points. Lando Norris is still the surprising third with 56 points.
