Zak Brown's statement about Max Verstappen caused a lot of commotion last week. Christian Horner was asked about it and now also Helmut Marko.
Brown's comments
Brown suggested that Max Verstappen could end up in a Mercedes next season. However, Helmut Marko was quite clear in his reaction and thinks Brown is very premature with his conclusions.
"Zak Brown is a good speaker. He talks all day long and although what he says is funny, he has no idea what our breakaway clause really looks like," the Red Bull Racing advisor told Sky Deutschland.
"We don't want to tie anyone to us who doesn't feel comfortable with that, but we're still a long way from the day when we start discussing this. We just need a championship- worthy car and then Verstappen is more than happy with us," said Marko.
