Robert Kubica admits he mentors both Stroll and Sirotkin suggesting their relationship is similar to teacher and student.
Many people have argued that the
Williams reserve and development driver should have got a 2018 F1 seat over the inexperienced drivers.
Kubica confirms that he gets plenty of questions from the young drivers.
"I would not say that I'm a teacher and they're my students," Kubica said.
"But they do have little experience – like anybody when they start.
"F1 is a complicated sport.
"Lance and Sergey come to me with questions, more so Stroll than Sirotkin.”
Kubica went on to admit there is no tension between the trio of drivers.
“It's nothing personal with Sergey – perhaps Lance just has some experience already and so he knows what to ask.”
Sirotkin finished 19th in qualifying, just one from the back of the grid. He went on to retire early in the race.
The slightly more experienced
Lance Stroll made it into Q2 and finished the race in 14th.
