For the second race this season, the DRS zones have been altered. Bahrain International Circuit changed the following elements for the upcoming weekend.
An additional 100m has been added to the second DRS zone at the Bahrain International Circuit.
The second DRS zone runs along the pit straight.
The detection point on the first zone, where drivers have to be within 1 second of the car in front, will be 10m before turn 9.
The activation point is then 50m after turn 10.
The second zone detection point is 108m before turn 14 with the activation notification arriving 170m after turn 15.
The FIA added a third DRS zone in Australia which didn’t have much of an effect on overtaking.
However, which more, longer straights around the Bahrain track, overtaking is expected to be more frequent this weekend.
No other changes have been made to the circuit.
