Jan Lammers impressed with Verstappen's 2019 performances and picks out his best

Jan Lammers has been impressed with Max Verstappen's performances in F1, highlighting Germany as his best showing from the season which has just gone. The Dutchman finished third in 2019, only behind the two Mercedes.

"That was perhaps Max's best race because the other big names of the top teams showed how easy it was to make a mistake," Lammers said to Motorsport com. "It is something to be very proud of, to be first in those circumstances.

"It is not about third place, but it is never about sport. The fact is that he has won within his own potential, with the possibilities that there are he took everything out.

Verstappen has made quite an impact on the sport since his debut at the Australian Grand Prix in 15 and has since gone onto race 102 times.
