The Formula 1 championship standings have been updated following the Hungarian Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen taking victory around the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Championship leader Kimi Antonelli, F1’s youngest ever, has seen his points gap extended following his P3 finish, while closest rival George Russell crossed the line in P9, having had to recover from a P19 start due to a power unit penalty.
Antonelli's 340 points in the Drivers' standings now means he can mathematically win the world championship at the next race, set to take place in Austin. Should the 20-year-old win the US Grand Prix, and Russell finishes P9 or lower, Antonelli becomes the youngest ever F1 world champion.
Lewis Hamilton, the highest-placed non-Mercedes driver in the championship battle this season, suffered a nightmare Singapore GP. Opting for a one-stop strategy that saw him on old soft tyres at the end, Hamilton lost his P3 starting position, and ultimately finished P6 - losing a place to Oscar Piastri on the final lap. Verstappen is now only eight points behind his old rival, currently sat P3 in the standings.

As for the Constructors’ Standings, Mercedes maintain their lead in the title fight after securing 11 wins from the opening 17 rounds of F1 2026, but it was a strong points haul yet again for Red Bull following Verstappen's second successive Grand Prix victory - and his first-ever around Marina Bay.
Ferrari gain important points from Charles Leclerc's P2 finish, seven seconds behind Verstappen at chequered flag, but Hamilton's P6 means it was a day to forget for the Scuderia.
Despite finishing P4 and P5 in Singapore, McLaren's grip on P3 in the standings is loosening, with Red Bull now seven points away from the papaya team, as Isack Hadjar scored the final point of the race with a recovery drive from the very back of the pit lane.
