Lewis Hamilton was absent from the post-race media pen at the Singapore Grand Prix after feeling unwell following the race.
A Ferrari spokesperson said Hamilton had been seen by the FIA medical team and had been given permission not to attend the media pen. No further details about his condition were immediately provided.
It comes after a disappointing Singapore Grand Prix for the seven-time world champion. After starting in third, it looked for a long time that Hamilton was likely to obtain at least a third place finish behind Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc.
However, a strategy error left him falling behind Kimi Antonelli, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, to only finish sixth.

After the race, Hamilton took blame for deciding not to pit behind his teammate Leclerc during a virtual safety car period.
When Leclerc pitted from second, Hamilton opted to stay out and try to finish the race on the soft tyres that were put on his Ferrari during the first pitstop phase. However, on much fresher tyres, Leclerc was quickly able to reel him in and take back second.
Hamilton would then drop positions to Antonelli, Norris and Piastri before the end of the race. After the chequered flag, he said over the radio: “Sorry boys, I let you down today with that strategy,” Hamilton told the team over the radio. “My call and I lost us valuable points. I’ll try and make up for that in the next one.”
Hamilton lost further ground in the championship on Kimi Antonelli, who could become the youngest drivers' champion in F1 history next time out in Austin. He is third in the standings, only eight points ahead of Verstappen who has rapidly closed the gap with back-to-back wins, as well as his sprint race victory in Singapore.
