Lewis Hamilton appeared visibly emotional in the post-race interviews after securing his first victory for Ferrari following a nail-biting Spanish Grand Prix, with strategy ultimately playing into his hands.
While his teammate suffered a second consecutive retirement, the seven-time world champion continued to ride the wave of momentum, securing a third straight podium and, more importantly, his first victory since joining Ferrari.
His emotions were evident immediately after crossing the finish line, as he thanked the entire Ferrari team, both at the track and back in Maranello, for helping him achieve a long-held dream. Hamilton also paid tribute to his family and fans, acknowledging their unwavering support throughout his journey and stressing that the milestone would not have been possible without them.
"Grazie a tutti a Maranello. Thank you so much. You've helped me achieve this dream and I can't thank you enough. Thanks for everyone pushing so hard back at home. I'm so proud of you. To my family, I love you To my fans, thank you for continuing to remind me who I am. I couldn't have done this without you."

Speaking immediately after the race, the Briton began by thanking everyone at Ferrari, both at the track and back in Maranello, as well as team principal Fred Vasseur for placing his faith in him and bringing him to the Scuderia.
Hamilton admitted that winning for Ferrari had felt like an almost impossible dream at times during his difficult first season, but praised the team's unwavering support throughout the journey. He also highlighted the countless changes and improvements made behind the scenes before expressing his gratitude to the fans, whom he described as the greatest support any athlete could ask for.
"First I have to start and say a huge grazie to everyone here. My team here at Ferrari, everyone back at the factory. Fred for believing in me and bringing me to this team. I started out a dream which seemed almost impossible during my time last year but we never gave up hope and the team continued to lift me up. We made so many changes and we made so many improvements. On top of that, I have got the greatest fanbase a sportsman could ever ask for and so thank you to everybody."
Speaking about his 106th Formula 1 victory, Hamilton admitted that, while every win carries its own significance, this one felt different. He recalled watching Ferrari's dominant years on television as a child and spending much of his career wondering what it would be like to stand on the top step with the Scuderia. Now, that dream has finally become a reality.
"They are all special in their own way but this one is something else. I watched Ferrari have all that success when I was younger, watching it on TV. As I've been racing here, I'd always watched the screens and wondered what it would be like to win in that car - and it's come."

Finally, when asked about the championship battle, which now sees him sitting second and 41 points behind Antonelli, Hamilton added:"I definitely will take it. There is a long, long way to go and they've still got great pace, as you can see. But we are going to keep working and trying to close that gap. It's not over, that's for sure."
