Ferrari tries to battle its rivals on home turf: The full schedule for the Italian Grand Prix

The second half of the Formula 1 season is now in full swing after the summer break. After Zandvoort, drivers and teams had a weekend to rest, but next week, all attention will turn to the Italian Grand Prix at the famous Monza circuit.

Unlike at Zandvoort, this will be a regular weekend with three free practice sessions, qualifying, and Sunday's Grand Prix. As a result, young drivers will also take part in FP1. For example, Luke Browning will take over Alex Albon's Williams during the first session on Friday.

Both Formula 2 and Formula 3 will also feature at the Italian Grand Prix weekend. After a single free practice session for each category, their qualifying sessions will take place on Friday.

On Saturday, both series will have their sprint races, followed by the feature races in F3 and F2 ahead of Sunday's Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Looking ahead to his second Monza weekend with Ferrari, Hamilton told GPblog, among others.

"Yeah, we're in a much different place than we have been in the past, obviously, than last year. We're still second in the Constructors' Championship. We've got a lot of positives to take from this first half. The next ones, we really need to turn up the heat if we're going to have any chance of getting these guys," he referred to Mercedes and McLaren.
