Lewis Hamilton dismissed it as ‘BS’. According to the Ferrari driver, there is absolutely no strained relationship with his race engineer Riccardo Adami, as the British former champion told on Thursday during a conversation with the international media - including GPblog.
The British newspaper The Daily Mail reports, however, that the paths of Hamilton and Adami are ultimately parting. That this has not happened yet is because Ferrari currently lacks a suitable replacement for the race engineer. The newspaper suggests that Peter Bonnington (Bono), Hamilton's race engineer at Mercedes, would be the ideal successor, but that the Brit cannot leave Mercedes.

Hamilton Worked Differently at Mercedes

Although Hamilton denies issues, it became apparent over the past weeks during the Grands Prix that there was some friction between the driver and his engineer. Hamilton is used to receiving an answer after posing a question, instead of getting a question in return.
The lack of clarity seems to irritate Hamilton. At least, Hamilton notices that the way of working at Ferrari is entirely different than at Mercedes, where he had enough with half a word to understand what 'Bono' meant.
