Three F1 logos have changed names ahead of the 2026 season. Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez have swapped helmets. Mercedes are switching their iconic three-pointed star from silver to white ahead of the 2026 season.
The German team have been the class of the field for much of the hybrid era, winning eight consecutive Constructors' Championships from 2014-2021.
They also won seven Drivers' Championships in that time with
Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
The ground-effect era from 2022-2025 was more difficult for Mercedes, as they didn't challenge for a title and lagged behind Red Bull and McLaren in particular.
Their current driver line-up of
George Russell and Kimi Antonelli may have a slight engine advantage alongside the other Mercedes-powered cars as the compression ratio loophole saga rumbles on.
Haas are also tweaking their logo ahead of the new season. The American team's logo will feature a 'TGR' abbreviation as their title sponsor is now Toyota Gazoo Racing.
Red Bull also made a slight adjustment, the Austrians shared on social media during the afternoon.
Verstappen and Perez spent four years together as teammates for Red Bull and will race each other again this year.
The Dutchman is still at the Austrian team and looking to reclaim his crown while Perez is back on the grid with Cadillac.
Perez floundered towards the end of this tenure at Red Bull, getting replaced by Liam Lawson for the start of the 2025 campaign.
Verstappen explained last year that he promised the Dutchman and Perez would swap helmets.
The four-time world champion gave his teammate an orange helmet and wrote on the visor: "Thank you for being a great teammate and friend."
