After the success of 'F1: The Movie', Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali gave an update on the timeline for a possible sequel.
"Well, I think that is ‘never say never.’ We're working on a plan."

The 'F1' movie starring Brad Pitt (Sonny Hayes) and Damson Idris (Joshua Pearce) turned out to be another successful project for the series.
The movie, also co-produced by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, became the highest-grossing movie of Pitt, was nominated for the Golden Globes and made the shortlist in multiple categories at the Oscars too.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Domenicali was also asked about a potential sequel.
The Italian commented: "Well, I think that is ‘never say never.’ We're working on a plan.
"It will not be eventually too soon, because we need to digest it. By the way, we're going to launch Apple, we're going to launch that on December 12, so there will be a longer effect of the first movie."
Looking ahead, Domenicali explained what a potential sequel would need. He added: "The next one has to be credible, authentic, and new."

F1: The Movie 'meeting' took place with Hamilton

Talking to Forbes, producer Jerry Bruckheimer previously said that he has had a meeting with Hamilton.
He said: "We met with Hamilton a couple of weeks ago, and started talking about some ideas."
In July, the seven-time world champion explained that there is no need to make any snap decisions on a sequel.
