McLaren to be rebranded in 2026: Million-dollar deal signed with sponsor

From next year, the outfit will officially be known as the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, following Mastercard's arrival as the team’s new title sponsor. The announcement was made on Wednesday during an event in Amsterdam.
McLaren CEO Zak Brown reacting to the announcement stated: “There is no one more important to us than our awesome fans, so I could not be more delighted to enter this next chapter in our partnership with Mastercard with a promise to our Papaya Family around the world: that we will continue to put our fans first, bring them even closer to the team, and offer incredible experiences.''
''Mastercard is a fantastic partner who shares our passion and values, so to have them on board as naming partner will offer us the perfect launch pad to keep pushing on and off track - and I cannot wait to see Team Priceless come to life in 2026.''

Ecclestone warns Max Verstappen: A move to this team will end your career

The 94-year-old, who spoke in an interview via German outlet Sport.de, urged the four-time world champion against considering a move to join the Scuderia Ferrari team. In the words of the motorsports chief, a move to the Italian outfit ‘would be the end of his career.’
Despite Max Verstappen shutting down the rumours surrounding his immediate future that had dominated the Formula 1 scene in recent months with the confirmation of his staying at Red Bull Racing, Formula 1 'supremo' Bernie Ecclestone has identified one move that could potentially spell the end of the Dutch driver’s career.
