IndyCar and NASCAR star took to social media to clarify her side of the story amid widespread speculation surrounding her departure.
Having been part of Sky Sports F1 for the past five seasons, Patrick revealed that stepping away was her decision, countering narratives suggesting otherwise.

Patrick breaks silence after Sky F1 omission
Sharing a photo of herself in the F1 paddock on Instagram, Patrick explained in the caption why she would not be continuing with the Sky F1 team:
“From my first Sky Sports F1 race in Austin to my last, five years later… I had such a blast! The Sky team was so much fun (thank you all ❤️), I saw so many amazing new race tracks and cities, and got to be part of a huge boom in F1!"
"I called after the last race in 2025 and said it was time for me to move on, and I was so grateful for the opportunity and experience I was given!"
"…And now, due to my deep exposure to F1, I will be glued to my TV for the season starting this weekend, like every other fan! 😜🏎️🏁”
Sky Sports reveals presenters for 2026 season
The Sky F1 outfit has also revealed its list of presenters and analysts for the 2026 season. The list features several familiar names, including Martin Brundle and 2009 World Champion Jenson Button.
It also includes David Croft as commentator, with Natalie Pinkham making a return following surgery.
