Sebastian Vettel will leave
Ferrari at the end of 2020 without having won a world title. It is the goal of every driver who joins
Ferrari, but according to
Fernando Alonso, Vettel had bad luck just like himself.
In 2015 it was Vettel who took Alonso's place at
Ferrari. The Spaniard has finished but wants something different after five seasons. Alonso had chosen the
McLaren-Honda project, but did not celebrate success there either. Meanwhile, Vettel got the chance at Ferrari, but, like Alonso, did not manage to win a world title with the Italian team.
''If you sign for Ferrari you assume you can win the world title. After four world titles Vettel probably thought he could win another one with Ferrari, but sometimes you just don't have any luck. That's why I didn't focus on Formula 1 for a while and started driving the 24 Hours of Le Mans. I tried to win everything there was to win,'' concludes the double world champion.
