Marko happy with Tsunoda and Perez, but puts Mexican on edge

Helmut Marko is very enthusiastic about the two newcomers to the Red Bull family. At AlphaTauri it's Yuki Tsunoda and at Red Bull of course Sergio Perez. Both gentlemen made a fine impression during the winter test.

Perez himself was enthusiastic about the car but the people around him were particularly enthusiastic about the Mexican. He would have driven the fastest long run on the circuit in Bahrain. Marko opposite Auto, Motor und Sport:"His long run was the fastest as far as I could see. He lived up to his reputation as a tyre specialist".

In an interview, the Mexican said he needs five races to fully master the car. However, Marko disagrees with the Mexican: "I don't think he needs that long, maybe for a qualifying lap. In the race I'm sure it will be right from the first Grand Prix".

The other newcomer can also count on positive comments from the influential advisor:"Our Tsunoda is 20 years old and has only been in this car for a day and a half. He has delivered a sensational performance," Marko told RTL.
