The weekend so far - Alex Albon and Sebastian Vettel topped FP1 and FP2 respectively, but there was plenty of off track action as well, with crashes for Albon, Robert Kubica and Daniil Kvyat, along with a Max Verstappen spin and engine failure for Pierre Gasly.

Earlier today, Lewis Hamilton topped a rather more straightforward session

A greasy FP1 made it difficult for drivers to set a competitive lap time, but it was Albon who took P1, despite a late crash at Juncao, breaking his front right suspension.

The second session started in a similar was to the end of the first, with a crash. This time it was Kubica who wrecked his Williams, before Kvyat also found the wall. Vettel led Charles Leclerc in a Ferrari 1-2, showing they still have pace despite failing to take victory in the last four events since their post-summer break resurgence.

After the rain yesterday, it is likely to be dry on Saturday, so expect some easier running! But that said, you never know what the weather is going to do at the Brazilian Grand Prix, who's going to take pole?
