It's time for qualifying at the Imola Grand Prix. Max Verstappen has qualified on pole at every single Grand Prix so far in 2024, but it may be a much different result this time around. Charles Leclerc has looked the most dominant so far this weekend after taking a clean sweep in FP1 and FP2. Can he carry on and take pole away from Verstappen and Red Bull? You can follow all of the important updates below!

F1 LIVE | Qualifying: Imola Grand Prix

For the first time in 2024, we are back in Europe, and we return to the Emila Romagna Grand Prix after terrible floods meant the 2023 race had to be cancelled. We are back to the original Grand Prix weekend schedule, meaning that after the two practice sessions on Friday, teams and drivers have one more to finalise setups and data collection for qualifying.

After Friday's running around the iconic Imola track, it showed that this weekend could be much more competitive than people thought. After losing out at the Miami Grand Prix last time out, Red Bull came to Italy with some updates to their RB20. However, their consistency and grip were nowhere near where they usually are, and Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were unable to top the timesheets like usual. It was, in fact, the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc that was able to do that, taking P1 in both FP1 and FP2 and giving the Tifosi something to cheer about. The newly upgraded Ferrari was fantastic around Imola, and many believe it could challenge for pole. With Mercedes and McLaren also right on the heels of Red Bull, qualifying could be vital in earning a race victory on Sunday!
