2016 FIA Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg has stated that Mick Schumacher “does not lose the joy of driving” as the pressure builds around him in Formula 2 and his link to Ferrari.
In the past week many sources, including the BBC, have claimed that Mick Schumacher, son of F1 legend Michael Schumacher, is set to sign for the Ferrari young driver academy.
The deal with the Scuderia will supposedly include two outings in F1 in the post-race tests in Bahrain and Spain this year, whilst also racing in the F2 Championship for 2019.
Rosberg has said that because the pressure on the German is rising “It's important that he does not lose the joy of driving.” As quoted by Die Welt newspaper on Sportsmole.co.uk.
"We should also be careful that we do not put too much pressure or too many expectations on him."

Schumacher said, "It's always been like that," of the pressure. "It's normal for me.”
"If you take someone who is not used to it, and put him in my position, maybe it would be different. But I've had time to grow into it and it's helped me a lot."
