Raul Fernandez won the Italian Grand Prix's Sprint, while Jorge Martin managed to gain points on his teammate Marco Bezzecchi in the riders' standings today in Italy.
Martin finished second in the
Mugello Sprint after he and Fernandez opted for an alternative tyre strategy to the rest of the grid. Starting from pole position, Bezzecchi finished fourth, two places behind Martin. As a result, the Italian now leads the riders’ standings by 12 points.
Marc Marquez finished the Sprint in fifth place. He currently trails Bezzecchi by 82 points in the standings.

Round 6: Spanish Grand Prix
While Martin was in better form in Barcelona on Sunday, Bezzecchi managed to extend his lead in the riders' standings this weekend. On Sunday, Martin was battling for a podium place after the second restart when Raul Fernandez took him out. The 2024 world champion was furious in the pit lane afterwards. Thanks to his victory, Di Giannantonio has solidified his position as third in the standings.

Jorge Martin claimed victory in the sprint after an incredible move on the opening lap, but it was on Sunday where he truly shined - carving his way through the field before eventually sticking a precise move on Bezzecchi to claim the victory. The top two Aprilia riders were separated by just a single point.
Meanwhile, Marc Marquez got injured on Saturday. This meant that the defending world champion was also ruled out for at least the next to Grands Prix as well.
Round 4: Spanish Grand Prix

The Spanish Grand Prix delivered plenty of action after a dramatic qualifying and sprint Saturday saw Marc Marquez win despite crashing. On Sunday, another crash followed for the Spaniard, leaving him in a difficult situation.
Marc Marquez crashed out on Lap 2 of this year’s Spanish Grand Prix, leaving the defending champion empty-handed on Sunday. His Ducati factory teammate Francesco Bagnaia also failed to score points after a technical failure.

finishing second behind Alex Marquez in Jerez.
Round 3: USA Grand Prix 2026

The USA Grand Prix deliver sensational entertainment, particularly in the sprint race. After Marc Marquez took out Fabio Di Giannantonio on the opening lap, it was Fransceco Bagnaia who led. Bezzecchi crashed out of P2, leaving Jorge Martin to fight for the win. On the final lap, Martin dive-bombed Bagnaia in spectacular style and claimed a comeback victory.
In the main race on Sunday, it was a different story altogether. Bezzecchi dominated from the opening lap as Martin and Acosta made up the podium. Marc Marquez was left in P5.
Round 2: Brazilian Grand Prix 2026

The Brazilian Grand Prix weekend in Goiania, Brazil has come to an end with a dominant display from Aprilia, who really seem like the team to beat at the outset of 2026.
Marco Bezzecchi led the race from start to finish, with teammate Jorge Martin claiming an incredible second place ahead of Di Giannantonio.
It was a disappointing race for Marc Marquez, who failed to finish on the podium for the first time in Ducati red while still crossing the finish line.

The drama of the Thai Grand Prix began on Saturday with an intense sprint race which saw pole-sitter Marco Bezzecchi slide out of the lead on lap 2. Acosta took his maiden sprint win after Marc Marquez was penalized for an aggressive divebomb into the final corner. In the main race, Bezzecchi took control and
dominated the race from flag-to-flag. He was helped by a competitive fight between Acosta, Fernandez, Martin and Marc Marquez behind, with the reigning champion forced to retire due to a tyre puncture.
