Aprilia's Jorge Martin has recently shared how reading The Bible helped him recover from a brutal string of injuries in 2025 to return to form at the front-end of the grid.
Following a disastrous start to his tenure with the Italian factory, which saw him sidelined for most of the 2025 season, Martin seems to be back to his best and has asserted himself as an early championship contender in 2026.
On a self-help level, the Bible gives you many things.
- Jorge MartinAfter an impressive P4 in the opening round in Thailand, 'Martinator' went on to secure podiums in both the sprint and main races in Brazil, before following up with a spectacular sprint victory in COTA, after which
he crashed while doing a wheelie in celebration.
In a recent interview with Spanish channel 'Jugones', Martin highlighted how his religious and intellectual background helped him recover and build the mental fortitude to overcome such obstacles:
"I like to read and my family has always been very religious," Said the 2024 World Champion, "In the world I live in, where I’m risking my life at every moment, you always have to believe in something more. On a self-help level, the Bible gives you many things."
As for his recovery from injury and the pain he endured during that process, Martin was quick to move and focus on the year ahead rather than the past:
"It's not something I want to remember. I'm moving on from 2024 to 2026."
Finally, he praised Marc Marquez, who has dealt with similar injury struggles, and told viewers not to count him out of the 2026 title fight despite Ducati's disappointing start to the campaign:
"Anyone who takes him out of the running has no idea about motorcycles."
The next round of the 2026 season is scheduled to take place in Jerez on the 24th - 26th April. Make sure to
