Verstappen lost valuable points last week: "Now at least make it to the podium"

Max Verstappen will start the Steiermark Grand Prix from second place. A good starting position to fight his great rival Lewis Hamilton. The two were seen as the favourites prior to the season, but Verstappen already lost valuable points last week.

"Of course, we lost a lot of points last week. So we definitely need to score well here now. Whether that's going to be first, second or third place, I don't know. But at least I want to be on the podium. We're going to see if we can really challenge them [Mercedes] in the race", said the driver of Red Bull Racing in front of the camera of F1TV.

In any case, Saturday's qualifying doesn't give a good indication of where Red Bull Racing now stands in relation to Mercedes. According to Verstappen, their car suffered a little more from the water that came to acquaintances, especially during the third part of qualifying.
